Any experienced photographer will tell you that weddings are one of the most challenging tasks a shooter can face. For years now, I've operated under a "lone-wolf" mentality as it's quite difficult to to share a task and responsibility. Recently I've been given more opportunities to participate in a wedding shoot with more than one shooter. The latest, me serving as a second shooter for Sarah Rodriguez of Create by Sarah Christine. She's an experienced shooter and, like many, realized that a second shooter would benefit her greatly. After accepting her invitation to shoot a wedding with her, I realized the benefit of 2 shooters for a wedding. It definitely helps to make sure nothing is missed. Luckily she's a fellow Nikoneer so we meshed well and the evening came out really well!! I utilized my Nikon D7000 with my Tamron 70-200 f2.8 and my Nikon D7100 with my Tamron 17-50 f2.8. And yes,. . . . . sparklers!!!
